Alida Zuluaga

Shiatsu and Remedial Massage

She has almost 3 decades of experience in the natural health industry providing Shiatsu Therapy, Remedial Massage underpinned by a diverse range of supporting therapies such as Thai Massage, Reiki, Pranic Healing, Yoga Teaching, mindfulness and breath practices as well as a deep knowledge of Australian Bush Flower Essences.

Clinical Background:

Alida established her early practice in inner city Elwood and St Kilda where she gained experience treating mostly performance artists and new mothers with Shiatsu.

For a brief period in the early 2000’s, Alida joined Acupuncturist Matt Power and others at a Warrandyte based Natural Therapies Clinic.

In 2009, after bushfires devastated nearby townships of Kinglake, Strathewen and others, Alida sought to help the people recover with her centering and nurturing bodywork. She offered Shiatsu & Remedial Massage in a Chinese Medicine Clinic in those early post bushfire years at Kinglake between 2010-2014.

Alida spent 9 years (til 2017) as a registered trainer of the Australian Bush Flower Essences College Course.

Alida spent 12 years as a sessional trainer at 2 Shiatsu and Massage Colleges in Melbourne, and has run various community based workshops in natural health as well as the work she does at Warrandyte Healing Centre.

Warrandyte Healing Centre:

In the past 15-20 years, Alida has established and continues to be in demand at her own community based clinic, Warrandyte Healing Centre in beautiful North Warrandyte.

She brings deep knowledge of her modalities, skills learned and honed over many years, and an intuitive presence to each treatment she gives. Each treatment is tailored to the individual needs of each client using techniques from both a remedial massage perspective and the oriental philosophies and methods that make up Shiatsu & Yoga. Alida incorporates therapeutic grade, organic Young Living Essential Oils and/or Australian Bush Flower Essences into most treatments. These provide further tools for her nuanced response to clients’ needs, leaving each person replenished physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Alida is now thrilled to be joining the team at Heidelberg Chinese Medicine, one day a week, on Wednesdays, in its new premises in Heidelberg Heights. Warrandyte Healing Centre continues in 2 locations. Bookings can be made by sms/email/ and online.
